OpenAI Introduces New Privacy Controls and ChatGPT Business Subscription
OpenAI has announced a significant update to its ChatGPT platform, now offering users the ability to disable chat history and maintain the privacy of their conversations. This enhancement comes as a response to users seeking more control over the data used to train and improve OpenAI’s models.
With this new feature, users can navigate to ChatGPT’s settings to enable or disable chat history. When disabled, conversations will not be used to train the AI model and will not appear in the history sidebar. While these conversations will still be retained for 30 days for monitoring abuse, they will be permanently deleted afterward.
In addition to privacy controls, OpenAI is developing a ChatGPT Business subscription, specifically designed for professionals requiring greater data control and enterprises aiming to manage end-user experiences. The ChatGPT Business subscription will adhere to OpenAI’s API data usage policies, ensuring that end users’ data is not used to train the AI models by default. The ChatGPT Business subscription is slated for release in the coming months.
To further assist users in managing their data, OpenAI has implemented a new Export option in the ChatGPT settings. This feature allows users to conveniently export their ChatGPT data, providing a comprehensive understanding of the information stored within the platform.
