How does Jasper AI Long Form  Assistant work?

Jasper is an AI copywriting tool that takes your inputs and then writes marketing copy, long form blog posts, social media posts, landing pages, scripts for YouTube videos, Google and Facebook Ads copy, personal or company biographies for you.

Jasper is built on a language model that was trained up until October 2019 by reading nearly 10% of the written internet.

So Jasper knows a lot, about a lot of topics.

While he may not know about recent events like Covid-19, he does know what a pandemic is and he knows what a coronavirus is. 

So with a little context and background information, you can still get Jasper to write intelligently about things that have happened since the model was trained in 2019.

So how does Jasper write?

He works by trying to predict the next word in a sentence.

So if you were to type “the cat sat on the” and then ask Jasper to finish your sentence, there’s a very good chance that he’s going to predict the next word should be “mat”.

Jasper can then repeat that process over and over again to write entire blog posts.

I’ve been a Jasper customer since February 2021 and the changes and improvements I’ve seen in the quality of Jasper’s outputs has been incredible.

Frequent updates to the platform

One interesting aspect about the Jasper service compared to virtually every other SAAS product that I have reviewed or have been a customer of in a long period is how many times the team has worked behind the scenes to improve the product quality.

Since signing up and maintaining the Jasper account it seems to me every week that they release new functions or improve their performance.

It consists of redesigning UIs, templates, and new algorithms and enhancements to limit access to existing services such as Grammarly, SurferSEO and Copyscape.

Jasper AI + Surfer SEO: Can you really rank with These Tools?

Jasper has partnered with SurferSEO to offer Surfer’s SEO tools directly inside the long form editor interface.

This combination is a life changing tool.

Last year I decided to trial this combination out by creating an entirely new website from scratch.

The goal was to see if I could start a brand new travel website and use artificial intelligence to produce content and write about places I’ve never been to… and then see if that content could rank on Google.

This chart from Google Search Console shows the number of impressions the site has had in the last 6 months, with just a handful of posts and zero backlinks.

While that’s not a huge amount of traffic, I also wasn’t really trying very hard. 

And I’m no expert in Search Engine Optimization, I just did what the robots told me to do.
